Social Studies

We will learn about communities this year using the Putnam curriculum. The class did great on the oceans and continents test!

Math

Our math program is Into Math. We are in chapter 13 which is about double digit addition and subtraction and word problems. We are doing subtraction Mad Minutes. Please practice your basic facts every night.

Science

We will learn about animals, plants, states of matter, etc. in our school books this year. We are learning about life science (plants).

Reading/Writing

We will do the Teachers College writing and reading programs and Fundations (phonics) this year.  Don't forget to read every night! Right now, we are reading for 20 minutes. We are reading mystery books. We are writing realistic fiction stories.
